Dive into the unforgettable experience woth the Wild Bill Yorzyk Swim & Paddle Challenge, hosted by the WaterWise Foundation Inc. This event is founded & run by an open water swimmer and amateur children's swimming teacher. We are appreciated or our easy siting (lots of buoys), safety, retro small town vibe and robust raffle ! We have a lots of fun~
This exciting event is not just about swimming; it's about making a meaningful impact in our community. By participating, you'll help teach vital swim and water safety skills to local children, equipping them with the knowledge they need to stay safe in and around water. If you are interested, we can talk about bringing this to your community!
Did you know that drowning remains a leading cause of death among children under 14? For just 250$, we can provide essential lessans, transportation, gear, and insurance for one child. This year, our ambitious goal is to raise $40,000 to ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn how to swim safely.

The Wild Bill Swim and Paddle Challenge pays tribute to Dr. William Yorzyk (1933-2020), a 1956 Olympic Gold Medalist in the Butterfly (in Melbourne), who was beloved community advocate and mentor. Learn more about Bill. Inspired by his journey - he learned to swim at 16 - this event welcomes swimmers of all ages and abilities, including adaptive swimmers (please bring your own support).
